I wear pretty good size hats, usually in the 7 3/4" range (xtra LG). Trying to find a replica of either the MICH 2000 or PASGT helmets has been quite a search. Most venders state that the helmets "ONE SIZE FITS MOST" medium to large. This usually translates into...I cannot wear it.

I would like a MICH 2000 or PASGT to help complete my Airsoft load-out, so could someone point in the general direction of something in an extra large size (7 3/4" size)? Of course I would need a MARPAT cover to finish it, but I do not seem to have an issue locating these, although a government issue cover would be nice.

Now, see, that's a tough one. Most of the Replica Helmets don't really come in what we Americans would call "Large". Mainly due to their being made by and (initially) for the Asian market. One possible option would be to buy one and make your own padded inserts that are thinner than the ones that it comes with. Through trial and error, you can get the fit just right.

The other, more expensive option, would be to traipse on down to the Army Surplus store and see if they have any used REAL ones. If your local store doesn't, I know that Commando Military Supply in Columbus, GA has several in their surplus shop. Expect to pay anywhere from $75 - $250, though. If you ask for the manager, you MAY be able to haggle the price down, like I did. Talked him down from $200 to $125. Beats the hell outta the $400 new that it would've been.

Well, my wife made the choices easy for me...she says she ain't spending alot of money on a "danged" helmet...I opted for the MICH TC-2001 replica from Evike, and she said even that was pushing the money envelope on what she wanted to spend...

Of course that leaves the window open for me to still find a better brain carrier, if this replica ends up sucking or not fitting.

I'm hunting funds right now, apart from Christmas, to get the KJW M4 GBB...tough to find the assets to liquidate...
